Most fungus gnat traps are bright yellow. I don't like bright yellow. It ruins my neutral / jungle apartment aesthetic. I understand that the bugs are attracted to the bright colour.
What I wonder is if we could find a shade of neon pothos (bright electric lime green) which would still attract the bugs, but will blend in more with the plants.
Right now fungus gnat traps are usually bizzarely shaped like starbursts, butterflies, and all sorts of things that don't have anything logically to do with plants. A leaf is already the same size as a gnat trap, so there is no additional product needed. I imagine it might be as straightforward as getting a new cutting die.
I think they would do exceptionally well and I'd be happy to be the face of it online, using my plants to demonstrate and create all the marketing content. We can use the fiddle leaf lady brand name if we want to. If there are any manufacturers out there who want to collab - let me know!
